Which cities does BA fly to in the US, Canada and Mexico?

The US, Canada and Mexico are key markets for British Airways

Putting short-haul European flights aside, North America is the busiest market for BA’s premium cabins. Every BA flight to the continent has business class, with most planes having the new Club Suite. Many flights also have First, making it a great option if you’re looking to experience that using Avios.

British Airways and North America

Out of all the countries globally, the US and Canada are the best served by British Airways. Not just in terms of the number of cities they fly to, but also the frequency and the variety of planes in use.

It’s also the market that has the most first-class seats available, meaning that if you’re looking to sit in the airline’s best cabin, North America is a good place to start searching for availability.

That high propensity of First routes means that North America will be the first market to get BA’s brand new first suite. This will start rolling out on the A380 in March, meaning that it could be LA, Boston, San Francisco or Washington DC that experiences it first.

It’s also worth noting that the New York to London flights (which include both Heathrow and Gatwick on one side and JFK and Newark on the other) are the highest-revenue-generating international city-pair. Sadly, it is not served by the A380.

BA, and their partner AA, make up a significant volume of these flights, with Virgin, United, Delta and now Jet Blue, providing alternatives.

Which Mexican cities does BA fly to?

BA flies to Mexico City from London Heathrow only, whilst the daily Cancun flight is from Gatwick as it’s more of a leisure flight. The Mexico City flight does have a First cabin, meaning that the 787 that flies this route will be the 787-9 or 787-10 as they are the only variants with four classes (Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First)
