An already generous scheme gets even better
Avios Hotels is a great way to earn a lot of points on hotel bookings. It’s also one of the easiest and most reliable ways to earn points. From time to time, they run promotions, sometimes boosting the overall earn rate or, in this case, offering a one-off points bonus.
What is this offer?
For any booking made by midnight on the 21st July 2026, you will receive a bonus of 2,000 Avios. Reading the T&Cs this applies to one booking per customer only. You can, of course, get around this if a family member also has a BA account.
- The value of the stay (which can be one or more nights) must be over 150 USD, GBP or Euro, excluding charges and taxes.

Why is Avios Hotels so great?
Ultimately it’s an easy way to earn points on hotel bookings you’re already going to make. We’ve earned hundreds of thousands of points over the years.
You earn 10 Avios per £ you spend on hotels. That includes taxes and any fees added during the booking process. That’s a generous number of points on something you were going to pay for anyway. On top of that, you’ll earn an additional 1.5 points per £ if you use the highest-earning credit card.

Is this offer worth it?
This is a decent “nudge” offer. If you were in the market for a hotel and it makes sense to book it before the 31st of July, this could push you into doing it via Avios Hotels.
The most generous offer that Avios Hotels has ever run is the points boost. They have, at times, increased the earn rate from 10 to 15/£, which offers significantly more value. Still, 2,000 Avios points is worth £20.
