Four major cities will get flight frequency boosts
It’s only been a few weeks since Qatar announced their new Q-suite. Now, they’re promising even more flights to some of the key cities across their network.
Which cities will see increased frequencies?
London, Miami, Male (Maldives) and Tokyo. London and Male see the biggest increases, with seven more flights per week to Heathrow, and Male sees their frequency increase by seven flights per week.
When you look at Heathrow, there will be 42,000 seats per week to Doha, and – alongside BA – that will mean 10 Oneworld flights per day from London to Qatar.
City | Frequency Before | New Frequency |
---|---|---|
London (LHR) | 49 per week | 56 per week |
Miami (MIA) | 10 per week | 12 per week |
Male (MLE) | 21 per week | 28 per week |
Tokyo (NRT) | 7 per week | 11 per week |
What does this mean for Avios collectors?
Qatar is a very useful way to spend your Avios. You can’t use a companion voucher, but you can access a lot of availability, and connecting in Doha makes sense if you’re travelling to the Far East. Qatar also offers a market-leading Business Class and has some stunning lounges in Doha.
